  • kitotech medical: untangling a company's digital footprint

KitoTech Medical, a medical device and consumer health company, had digital accounts that had accumulated across years with no single owner and no map: duplicate domain-registrar accounts under two different names, expired critical domains sitting unrenewed, a security posture with a dozen team members missing two-factor authentication, and a document-signing subscription sized for a company many times KitoTech's actual usage. None of it was visible until someone went looking — this is the kind of exposure that sits quietly until it becomes an emergency. Skaal ran a full digital-asset audit: every domain, every account, every subscription, mapped to a single source of truth instead of scattered spreadsheets and tribal knowledge. Two duplicate GoDaddy accounts were identified and reconciled, including two domains that had already lapsed. Google Workspace security alerts were reviewed line by line — flagging every user without two-factor authentication and every device flagged unsafe — and a plain-language security brief was delivered to a non-technical operations lead so the fixes were actually actionable, not just logged. On the cost side, Skaal caught a document-signing subscription billed for roughly 700 envelopes a year against an actual usage of 50-60 — a right-sizing opportunity surfaced before the annual renewal deadline, not after. KitoTech went from a fragmented, undocumented digital footprint to a single consolidated asset map with clear ownership, closed security gaps, and a subscription line brought in line with actual use ahead of renewal.
